The Texas Administrative Code (TAC) is a compilation of all Texas state agency rules published by the Office of the Secretary of State. The TAC is divided into titles and parts to represent subject categories and related state agencies. The State Board of Education (SBOE) and commissioner of education rules listed below are codified in the TAC under Title 19, Education, Part 2, ��. The Office of the Secretary of State keeps a .

The SBOE and commissioner may adopt new rules or amendments to or repeals of existing rules under authority granted by the Texas Legislature or federal law and according to the SBOE rulemaking process or the commissioner rulemaking process.
