April 29, 2021 SBEC EPP Commendations Committee Meeting Agenda

Due to Governor Greg Abbott’s March 13, 2020 proclamation of a state of disaster affecting all counties in Texas due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Governor’s March 16, 2020 suspension of certain provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act, the April 29, 2021 committee meeting of the State Board for Educator Certification will be held by video conference call, as authorized under Texas Government Code section 551.125.

Members of the public will have access to this meeting by watching the livestream on the Admin Monitor website: . Members of the public will have a means to participate in this meeting, by video conference call, by signing up for public comment. Information regarding registering for public comment can be found at: . An electronic copy of the agenda and meeting materials is now available at . A recording of the meeting will be available on the Admin Monitor’s website after the meeting.

The State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) Educator Preparation Program (EPP) Commendations Committee will meet virtually and, after determining the presence of a quorum, deliberate and possibly take formal action on any of the following agenda items.

Committee members: Dr. John Kelly, Chair; Ms. Courtney MacDonald; Ms. Shareefah Mason; Ms. Jean Streepey; Dr. Alma Rodriguez. A quorum of the State Board for Educator Certification may attend the committee meeting and discuss items on the committee agenda.

    The SBEC EPP Commendations Committee shall allocate up to thirty (30) minutes at the beginning of each scheduled meeting of the SBEC committee for public comment on non-agenda and consent agenda items. In accordance with SBEC Board Operating Policies and Procedures, late registration for providing oral or written comment will be accepted up to 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the Board meeting.

    This item provides the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) Educator Preparation Program (EPP) Commendations Committee the opportunity to discuss and approve for recommendation to the full Board, the next award date for EPPs for commendation in the category of Innovative Educator Preparation.

    This item provides the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) Educator Preparation Program (EPP) Commendations Committee the opportunity to discuss and approve for recommendation to the full Board, the topic area for EPPs for commendation in the category of Innovative Educator Preparation.
