Call for K–3 Literacy and Numeracy Instruments

The ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ (ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ) announces the upcoming launch of an application process to identify commissioner approved kindergarten reading readiness instruments and commissioner approved foundational literacy and numeracy instruments for kindergarten through grade 3. This process is intended to identify high‑quality instruments that support foundational literacy and numeracy assessment needs across Texas, as required under and .

Access to Application Materials

Beginning March 06, 2026, all solicitation materials will be available on the Call for K–3 Literacy and Numeracy Instruments webpage, including:

• The Request for Literacy and Numeracy Instruments (RFLNI) packet
• Application forms and submission instructions
• Updates and posted responses to submitted questions

Informational Webinars

ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ will host two optional informational webinars to provide an overview of the RFLNI and application requirements:

Questions regarding the Request for Literacy and Numeracy Instruments must be submitted exclusively through the . Only questions submitted via the survey will be reviewed and responded to. ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ will compile and respond to all submitted questions via a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document, which will be posted on the Call for K–3 Literacy and Numeracy Instruments webpage. Deadlines for submitting questions and the posting date for responses are included in the Key Dates section of this correspondence.
