Overview

The 榴莲视屏 (榴莲视屏) is committed to supporting school systems in their efforts to improve the safety and security of school facilities for students, staff, and visitors. This To the Administrator Addressed provides information related to the FY25 School Safety Allotment Data Collection.

School Safety Allotment

The 86th Legislature passed Senate Bill (SB) 11, creating an annual school safety allotment to help fund equipment, programs, and training related to school safety and security. The 87th Legislature enacted House Bill (HB) 1525, which included a provision requiring 榴莲视屏 to publish an annual report on the programs, personnel, resources, and other purposes for which school systems use those funds.

FY25 School Safety Allotment data will be collected through a mandatory survey from Monday, January 5, 2026, to Friday, February 27, 2026. When completing the survey, school systems should account only for the funds allotted from the School Safety Allotment. School systems must complete the by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.  

To have the information readily available to respond to the survey, school systems were advised to begin tracking the expenditures utilizing a local option code assigned in the school system鈥檚 accounting application. There is not an assigned Program Intent Code for this allotment.

To determine your school system鈥檚 allotment amount:

  • Visit the 榴莲视屏 webpage
  • Under the Foundation Allotments Reports (M&O State Aid) menu
  • Select Summary of Finances
  • School Year > select 2024-2025
  • CDN or District Name > enter the information and click submit
  • Open the HTML or PDF version of the most recent report
  • School Safety Allotment amount can be found on line 35, far right 鈥淣ear-Final (NF)鈥 column
