The purpose of this communication is to inform school systems of the release of the 2023–24 Preliminary Accelerated Testers Student Listings. This confidential data will be available for district and campus review on the (ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁL) Accountability application.
Accelerated testers are defined as students who earn Approaches Grade Level or above on the Algebra I, English II, and/or Biology STAAR EOC prior to grade 9. To fulfill federal testing requirements, these accelerated students must take a corresponding subject area SAT or ACT while in high school.

Students are attributed to the district and campus at which they were reported in attendance for the final six weeks of SY 2023–24. The Preliminary 2025 Accelerated Testers Student Listings reflect which subject area the student is considered accelerated and if the student has a corresponding SAT or ACT on record. Results through May 2024 (2023–24, 2022–23 and 2021–22 school years) are included.
Updated 2025 Accelerated Testers Student Listings will be released in Spring 2025 and will reflect accelerated testers reported by each district as enrolled in grade 12 for the 2024–25 PEIMS October Snapshot. The students included in the updated listing will be the final list of students to be evaluated as accelerated testers for 2025 accountability reports. SAT or ACT results on the updated listing will still be through May 2024.
The 2025 accountability calculations will include SAT or ACT results through May 2025, and the August 2025 STAAR student listings released in ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁL Accountability will include these additional results.
